DESCRIPTION:97TH KMA Annual General Meeting\nThe Kokni Muslim Association hosted its 97th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday 27th April 2025\, at its very own social hall which is anticipated for completion soon. This AGM would have been the unofficially marked 100th AGM held by the Kokni Muslim Association. \nWhat a remarkable milestone! One hundred years is nothing short of a victory for our small\, yet very strong community. Over the years\, we have witnessed immense growth and are happy to boast our achievements painted with the colours of gratitude and appreciation of all our founders; chairmen; and dedicated members who selflessly volunteered in service to our community.\nThis AGM was the first of its kind. It birthed the election of Aalia Abdul Kadir Hawa\, the first female as Chairlady of the Kokni Muslim Association. In what was an open election process\, the members of the Kokni Muslim Association also appointed a new Managing Committee consisting of Saqib Khambiye as Vice Chairman\, Nazma Mukri as Secretary\, Asad Alimiya as the Assistant Secretary\, Muzzamil Khambiye as Treasurer\, Maleehah Al-Haddad as the Assistant Treasurer\, Hanif Sangrar as the Immediate Past Chairman and Committee members consisting of Shazma Mukri\, Hassan Abdul Ghafur\, Abdul Wahab Alimiya\, Dr. Imran Khares\, Ayaz Bhigba and Rafia Khan. \nBhaudin Khares\, Sayed Hassan Al-Haddad\, Hanif Khan\, Hussein Mukaddam and Abdulaziz Alimiya were appointed as Trustees.\nMembers enjoyed a delicious spread of biryani and zarda\, with the most decadent gulab jamuns for dessert. Members gathered in their support to fund raise for the upcoming KMA Centenary Celebrations by purchasing the left-over food in what was a fun and interactive auction initiated by Bhaudin Khares and Rafia Khan. \nHaving the members of the community together and encouraging the interactions between the many spectrums of age groups is what makes this community vibrant and unique.
