The function was facilitated at our grounds in South C on 11th September\, 2022 at 11am. \nDr. Samnakay highlighted the fact that both\, benign and cancerous prostate conditions ranked in the top five medical problems worldwide. But he also clarified that much progress has been made over the past decade in diagnosis and treatment options so that even cancer of the prostate is curable if men present themselves early to the urologist. Men should seek medical advice whenever they notice a a reduced force of the urinary stream\, increase in urinary frequency by day or night\, blood in urine or pain during urination. The most important point he made was that an annual medical checkup to include a PSA blood test for all men over 40 years of age was absolutely vital. \nAn interactive session with the audience was most beneficial. DESCRIPTION:The Kokni Management committee together with the Ladies and Youth Committee organized an Eid Barbeque lunch hosted at Evergreen Park on Sunday 17th July 2022. The event turnout was great as 152 adults and 35 children were attendees. \nThe event kicked off at 11 am with registration at the gate followed by icebreakers with adults and kids getting them warmed up in the cold weather. \nThe fun began with a series of games such as musical chairs\, activities for children such as races\, face painting and bouncing castle. The highlight of the event was the delicious BBQ catered by Crazy Grill. The afternoon further continued with fun and games for kids\, teenagers\, couple and family races. The men and women even got a chance to show off their strength in multiple games of Tug of War! As the evening dawned dessert and chai was served as members mingled\, chatted and socialized as this was one of the bigger events involving a great number of jamaat members. \nAll in all\, it was a fun\, active and social event. With 17 attendees\, it was a refreshing and interactive session carried out from 8.30am to 4.30pm. After a beautiful Quran recitation\, we drove right into the basics of First Aid which included CPR\, how to apply bandages\, recovery position\, Heimlich Maneuver for choking infants and adults\, disaster management and much more. The session included a Practical and Theory segment along with group discussions and presentations to ensure the nail was hit right home. During the breaks\, scrumptious snacks and lunch were served. The event was held in line with the Covid Protocol and the team ensured the venue was restored as given. Certificates were awarded at the recent AGM. The youths were inspired by the work done by other organisations. The other organisations mentioned that they will support us in our events as we have supported them. The youths enjoyed mixing with other youths from different organisations and learning new things. They were a total of 150 people who attended the event from different organisations. \nAlhamdulillah all went well and returned back safely.
